The Journey of One and The Hope of Many

We may not chose the outcome. We may not have control on the path we take. We may not see clearly through the chaos we find ourselves in… Our actions will dictate all of the above..

A simple want.. For my cousin David.. I want…

For him to show me what a person can do.. To restore my belief that people can overcome the hardest of obstacles with determination.. To prove that no matter what is happening now, that a person can make difference in not only their own life, but those around them..

And he is doing that.. and will continue to do so..

So continue to knuckle up.. push forward.. and not to give up...

I really feel like he is the focal point for so many right now.. he's not alone.. and people are counting on him, more than he is on them.. at least on a pseudo-emotional stance..

And he can renew everyone during his journey with his actions.. bravery is bold.. determination is key.. and his story will affect so many.. not just now.. but years down the road.. a simple accident.. opens the door to so many.. his journey is hard.. long.. but is not in vain..

This path is not limited to just him.. But all of us.. We decide what impact we have on our surroundings and those that we come into contact with in our lives.. You play a vital role in it all… even if you realize it or not.. Its true my friends, very true..

Just like I’ve said time and time again.. How this all plays out is up to you.. Do with it what you will.. Don’t let the bad times bring you down.. Turn it around.. Take your moment of weakness and turn it into a showing of your TRUE strength…

Lets put this into another perspective.. When your stressed over a timeline, daily drama.. Or other “trivial” matters.. And decide to say I give up.. Think about how you would feel if say one of your troops decided to give up, when everything was on the line.. Or a relative or friend that decided to give in to defeat from illness.. Lance Armstrong if he decided to sit on the couch instead of climbing on that bike.. Your favorite athlete decided to take a play or even game off… It lets you down.. But when that same person is faced with an overwhelming challenge.. And knuckles up.. Presses forward.. Carries the team, the family.. A nation.. You feel differently.. Is it because their superhuman? No.. They have that determination.. They have a reason to keep pushing.. Many people are never faced with those conditions.. Not to that extreme.. And perhaps that is why those stories are so inspiring.. So don’t let those that look up to you, down by giving up.. Ever..

Is your character as strong as those listed above? Continue to be inspired by those around you.. Pay it forward.. Listen, watch, interact.. Or your going to regret it…

I truly hope this message doesn’t fall onto deaf ears….

As always.. Knock Hard.. Life is Deaf…
